We are Inga Eglite and Luca Paternò based in Piemont, Italy.
Inga is a visual artist whose research is centered on the autonomy of matter - creating supports, pigments and colors from raw, natural elements. Her practice sees color as energy, as a chromatic symphony.
Luca is a writer, with a background in journalism and audioguides. His work is about giving voice, context and narration to places, materials and stories.
Our Story
Together we founded Essee Colors, an eco art supplies brand.
Our encounter is our method: she makes the matter, he tells its story.
We share a belief that many artists living only in the city have lost the habit of creating their own tools, losing contact with nature and with the origin of color.
What unites us is the search for a slower, more conscious and autonomous way of making.
Now we are gathering this shared research into a book.
